After a drive of about one hour, enjoying the blue of the Saronic Gulf, we arrive at the Corinth Canal, an imposing work that separates the Peloponnese from the mainland Greece and connects the Saronic Gulf with the Corinthian Gulf. Short stop for photos.
Arrival at Mycenae, the mythical palace of Agamemnon, to admire the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion Gate, the archaeological site and the magnificent tomb of Atreus, a work of 1200 BC.
Next stop is the city of Nafplio, the first capital of the new Greek state. Visit to the castle Palamidi and stroll through the beautiful alleys and port of the city, where you can enjoy your lunch.
Last stop, the archaeological site of Epidaurus, with the Asclepieion and of course the famous theatre, which acoustic is the best of all the surviving theatres, and where many theater performances are presented every summer.
