After about one hour drive, enjoying the blue of the Saronic Gulf, we arrive at the Corinthian Canal, an imposing work that separates the Peloponnese from the mainland Greece and connects the Saronic Gulf with the Corinthian Gulf. Short stop for photos.
We continue on a route of about 2.5 hours, crossing the mountain range of the Peloponnese, and the coast of the Ionian Sea, to reach the famous site of Olympia. There you will admire the temple of Zeus, in whose honor the Olympic Games were held, the temple of Hera, and of course the stadium in which the games were held, so that you can feel the grandeur of the site and time stopping 2,500 years ago.
It is worth visiting the archaeological museum, one of the most important in Greece, with wonderful findings. You can visit the monument of Pierre de Coubertin, the French who inspired the revival of the Olympic Games. Time for lunch before we take the road back to the point you indicate.

On the way back, enjoy your swim, in the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea, on the huge sandy beach of Kalo Nero, with beach bars and wonderful tavernas, where you can enjoy your meal, accompanied by the waves.
